The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) and Matric Recruit (MR) under the Agnipath Scheme. Selection will begin with the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) scheduled for May 2026.

| Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit) | Passed Class 10th (High School) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. |
| Agniveer SSR (Senior Secondary) | Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Mathematics and Physics AND one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science (Minimum 50% aggregate). Note: 3-year Engineering Diplomas are also accepted. |
| Age Limit (01/2027 Batch) | Born between December 01, 2004, and May 31, 2009. |
| Age Limit (02/2027 Batch) | Born between May 01, 2005, and October 31, 2009. |

Height: Minimum 157 cm for Males; 152 cm for Females.
1.6 Km Running: 6 minutes 30 seconds (Male) | 8 minutes (Female).
Squats (Uthak Baithak): 20 Times (Male) | 15 Times (Female).
Push-ups: 15 Times (Male) | 10 Times (Female).
Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 Times (Male) | 10 Times (Female).
