The Indian Army has released the official notification for the grant of Short Service Commission (Non-Technical) for Men and Women under the NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course (October 2026). This is a fantastic opportunity for unmarried graduates to join the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

Candidates must meet the following strict conditions before applying:
| Criteria | Requirement |
| Education | Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (Final year students can apply if they will complete graduation before October 01, 2026). |
| NCC Qualification | Must have served for 2–3 years in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC and possess an NCC 'C' Certificate with a minimum 'B' Grade. (Note: NCC certificate is NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties). |
| Age Limit | 19 to 25 years (as of July 01, 2026). Candidates must be born between July 02, 2001, and July 01, 2007 (both dates inclusive). |
| Marital Status | Only Unmarried Male and Female candidates. |
| Application Fee | ₹0 (No application fee is charged). |

Selection Process: There is NO written examination for this entry. Shortlisted candidates will be called directly for the 5-day SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview, followed by a Medical Examination and the Final Merit List.
